Jesus, the Saviour, was born on Christmas day,
And in a manger the Lord of glory lay;
To save us from despair,
Our grief and sorrow share,
He came our sins to bear.
His lowly birth was here on earth, in Bethlehem.
Jesus, our Saviour, now reigns in heav’n above,
And we His favor must gain by faithful love.
His sacrifice is done,
Atonement has been won
By Christ the Holy One,
That bright and morning Star was born in Bethlehem.
